Carl is the most honest of the lot. He's on the football team
Joe has a tennis scholarship, and in his high school everyone made fun of the tennis players, despite the fact they were the only ones (other than the cheerleaders) who won any games. Because of this, he has a low self image.
Mark- well, the fact is, Mark is Morales' son, which is how they got him. morales and Mark's mother divorced when he was young (under ten) and they don't really get along. Despite this, he's studying to be a lawyer.
